Help With First Rod Reel Combo
Not looking for anything crazy, preferably used. I'm a fly fisherman that just recently purchased his first kayak. I used to only stay within the confines of the harbor, I'm looking to seek out deeper waters. And although I plan to still primarily fly fish. I'm looking for a rod and reel combo that would allow me to throw jigs and whatever else you guys use for bass and halibut. Would also love to target smaller yellowtail if they are present. Basically looking for an all around rod and reel that will let me throw live bait on occasion and chase larger fish with lures, jigs, and such.
Does such a rod and reel exist? Thanks so much for your help, I'm very new to this style of fishing. |

I have a Penn Fathom 15 which is small enough to cast with, on a 30# Sabre which is big enough for yellowtail.
