La Jolla Swimmer

who has any information of the guy that had to be rescued but the CG at La Jolla today. I read he had a dry suit on with an emergency beacon that went off when he went in the drink. He was rescued and I guess okay but I haven't seen anything else on it.

I don't know anything except his beacon notified the CG station in San Francisco and they notified San Diego. I thought someone on here would know more.

Wow that's nuts. I know I don't have the equipment that he had. Outside if my VHF and PFD. He had a dry suit and a rescue beacon, that's prepared, outside of fishing alone of course

What would be an adequate PLB to have for kayakers?
Any recommendations for brand, model, price?

Gotta say been fishing La Jolla from a yak since 2006 never felt unsafe. Always have my pfd and vhf. Sure a EPIRB is a great safety measure but I don't feel its not safe to be out there without one, just sayin
