Malibu Saturday
Hit the beach with Reiner on Saturday to flat calm conditions. Bait was everywhere. Mix of giant Greenbacks, Spanish, and Smelt. Little Cudas harassing
schools of bait. Dragged macs around for a while with 1 raked bait but no hookups. Switched over to lures and the bass were on fire. Ended up with 12 Calico and 1 Sandy. More than half legal with 1 fat 22 inch Calico being the fish of the morning. All fish released. Reiner had a half dozen with a Cuda thrown in. All my fish came on a 3/4 oz Pepper Boom Boom plus jig in Redneck shad. Loving the underspins. Water was a warm 67 degrees, lots of kelp. Here's a few pics. Nice sunrise, average bass, and the 3rd one is the 22 incher. Unfortunately, the big fish pic came out all blurry. Reiner said he must have had a water spot on his camera. I think he sabotaged the shot because I out fished him. Thanks Reiner Cheers, Steve |

nice job! Glad to hear the water temps are still warm enough that the fish are biting. I thought I was done with the ocean and was getting ready for fresh water. Thanks for report
