Dana point
Well we started out at Dana point today. Water was a little rough but not to bad. Made the paddle to the red bouy in front of the cliffs and that's where it all went wrong. I had a friend with me with little kayak experience but alot of fishing so I knew he had this I thought as I was pinning on my first chunk of bait I here the dreaded PLOOSH.........my buddy is upside down giving gifts away to posidon. I rush over to start gathering his things that are still afloat while I here him say my rod is gone........ we had just gone to the store and got leashes the night before and he failed to use it. With little likely hood of getting it back but if found please message

That sucks. How did he spill? Now you know, leash only the stuff you want to keep.

I almost flipped the other day when I leaned into the back of my wifes kayak to get a hook free. Luckily I caught myself but I sure learned how fast it starts to happen.

The wake from another boat coming at a different direction than the swell can make for an exciting experiencing. Sucks that your buddy lost his stuff, but at least you guys made it back ok.
