Newport Blue Fin! 8/6
Not my catch but watched a tandem yak just past the Harbor mouth fighting something as I fished the area and went back towards barge. Mean time that tandem yak was getting further and further dragged out and I didn't pay them any attention. An hour later here the two come back in to the harbor with a freaking Blue fin (could have been Yellow Fin) but definetly not yellow tale) across the guys lap! It was prob around 80lb cause it was as thick around as the dudes waist and at least 4' in length. Wow that was a sight seeing it and those guys grinning from ear to ear. Hope they post up if their on forums!
Also CDM Kelp yielded me 3 Calico and one undersized WSB 20" |

I was out there today also with a bunch of my buddies. We came in right behind them. I didn't personally see it because we launched/landed at kids beach across from the Coast Guard Beach. But my buddy Chris landed at Coast Guard Beach...& personally saw it. Said solid 70# class but could have been bigger. Just hoping it will be my turn for a Tuna Slay Ride....!!!! Props to those guys...!!!!

Did anyone see the fish up close? It sounded to me from the report that I heard that they were not more than a mile out of the harbor mouth. The person who gave me a report could not with out a doubt tell me it was a tuna.
Anyone?? I want it to be true but no photo, no report and no posts anywhere???
