Mission Bay 06/28
Fished Mission Bay for 4 hours. Did a slow lap around Vacation Isle. Managed 4 spotties on 3" swimbaits. Also caught a suprise barracuda while trolling a mackeral pattern rapala. It was pretty warm out there. The sun finally beat me into submission and I was off the water by 2:30.

Had some great times fishing the bay....I really enjoyed exploring and landing on random beaches to use the restroom or to eat a lunch. Just something about that freedom. You can catch a lot of species everything from barracuda, calicos, HBs...
I have not fished there in a while but years ago there was a great group of guys that would set up little bass tournament/bbqs every month. Great way to spend the weekend to include the family so we don't just have all the fun. I'm sure they still do that now w/ different groups i.e. HOW events etc Good times! |
