Wsb on iron
So I just saw a 62# wsb brought in on a party boat on a surface iron (tady blue and white) fished deep.... That's a new one for me...off pt loma

The iron is your friend. Even better with a fresh squid or 2 attached to it

Caught my first wsb on a tady 45 yo-yo in 85ft off la Jolla 2 years ago.
Unfortunately I havnt been able to duplicate...hell I havnt even been able to land a yellow on an iron since. Sometimes u get lucky I guess...most of the time I'm not. |

A heavy white tady 4/0 with a couple of squid wrapped on the treble hooks looks like a pair of mating squid. A cloud of blue perch will sometimes pick away on it, but if the WSB swim through, it will often produce. I have taken yellowtail and calicos with this same rig with a Tady A1 jig.

I've gotten my only kayak Cbass yoyoing a blue and white salas 6x jr. Mine only went 40#'s. Awesome way to catch'em though...
