Lake Barrett 5/25
Finally got a chance to go Largemouth Bass fishing this last week at Barrett. Hit the water with my buddy Dave. The water level is low but the fishing was still pretty good. We through a variety of lures and got bit on almost everything. We caught fish on jigs, spinnerbaits, and dropshot worms. Between us we had about 30 fish with the biggest going about 6 pounds. Had a lot of fun and was a nice change of pace from the 3 ocean species of bass that we normally fish for. Hope to get back out after the green bass soon.

heck ya! Barrett is east of El Cajon, down winding Japital Rd south of the 8, then a 10 minute dirt road.....super remote. Got my annual fix too.

Very nice chunks!! People have been some big girls lately!
Was out there flaot tubing on the 14th and pretty much battled the wind, but managed just over a dozen on a flylined senko. |
