Universal truck Racks for sale w/ cradles
I have a set of trac rac trac ones for sale. Installing a snugtop camper next week so these wont work.
I also bought the trac rac kayak cradles which are included with all mounting hardware. Below are links to both brand new items online for some information. They are very light and have an 800lb capacity. They will fit any width and obviously any length bed. Very easy on and off, 10-15 mins per http://www.rackwarehouse.com/tracrac...r-saddles.html http://www.rackwarehouse.com/tracrac...uck-racks.html Items are in good condition, with a couple scratches but otherwise new. Asking $300 for the racks and cradles. . Will not separate! HI Brandon, trac-rac makes mounts for camper tops and you can re-use the cross bars. That's what I did when I went from open bed to camper shell. Pete

Thank you Pete I did not know that. That is a great setup you have. However the camper is coming with yakima bars already installed. Camper is a snugtop supersport. Can't wait to use it for baja trips.

Hey Brandon
do you see any perceptible side to side movement with this rack when loaded up and on uneven roads? I have the Yakima Outdoorsman rack here in Baja and they tend to move side to side a bit and over time i have sheared a couple bolts. Ross

Rossman, There is a little side to side movement in the racks when they are full loaded. The key is to adjust the correct width of these racks to fit the bed right. I had them a little too narrow at first and had to stretch them open a bit to fit, and noticed side movement. I adjusted them out and it mostly went away. All the hardware seems pretty good grade. At least a 5 if not 8. Even with my truck being as bouncy as it is, I havent been too worried about it. The way they clamp to the bed rails seems to distribute the load evenly. There might be some more insight online from others reviewing. And maybe pescadaro pete will throw in a comment |

I had a look at the Yakima Outdoorsman on line and it looks to me that the trac-racs are more rugged and an overall better design. Beefier uprights and crossbars. The uprights actually tilt inwards which helps dampen any side to side sway. I had them on my previous Ranger for many years and never had to re-tighten or replace any bolts. Survived off road in the Sierras but Baja is probably tougher. Maybe I need to do a field trip to Baja to test them out.

Let me give it some thought but don't hold them if you find a local buyer.
