Alamitos Bay Friday night...
This report pales compared to the La Jolla reports but some may find it helpful. I launched about 5:00 and fished the docks with a small curly tail and swim bait for a few sandbass. I don't know where the spots are right now. I also caught about 6 small barracudas while trolling a small crankbait through the main Bay Area. I bet those would be fun on a fly...

You check the grass bed across from LB marina sport fishing? It's always holding in the afternoon.

Launched from mother's beach last weekend and fished down to the yacht club,lots of short bites but only got one to stick. Small sand bass. Probably going to hit it Sunday
