Where to get custom trailer (or mod) San Diego
Where's a good place to get either a custom trailer or modifications to a stock trailer, preferably around San Diego county? I'm looking at buying 2 kayaks: A Pro Angler + Outback/Revo and really like the idea of a double decker trailer similar to this. I need something as narrow as possible (50") with a retractable tongue if possible to help with garage space.
I found this pic on another forum, and frankly don't know where to start. Or this Much appreciated John Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

The top picture is all done with unistrut, strut 90s and strut couplings it looks like. And a big handful of 3/8ths hardware. Go to home depo and check the electrical section and you will find the hardware you need to build that.

Do a search on Craigslist for a welder to customize your trailer. Down near Los Angeles you could have small welding shop custom fabricate whatever you need.

I was hoping some of the local guys might chime in on a reputable trailer place, or a reputable welder, I could visit with these pics (+ pics of possible Hobie/Trailex/Malone base trailers) I'm concerned I'd pick a trailer that wasn't suitable for the mod. I thought I read somewhere that aluminum trailers/welding wasn't as abundant on the West coast.
