Sturgeon Fishing
This week I went back to my old stomping grounds in Portland and had a blast, thanks to my good friend Ryan. In 3 hours I caught 7 Sturgeon, from the Willamette River, ranging from 3-6 ft. It was a blast to hang out with old friends, but it’s made me really want to find a local group to get back out on the water. I moved to California in September of last year. PM me if you are interested. Out of Ridgecrest CA. (2 hrs East of LA).

I Used to Live in Portland too!
I recognize that Kayak Shed Sticker on your yak!! I am friends with a bunch of those guys from NWKA. Looks like you had a great trip out to StumpTown!! I left Portland without a getting a good photo of any of the sturgeon I caught. those are a couple nice ones, back a few years ago they would have been perfect size to keep. Did you run into any sea lions out there? I hear they are getting bad in the Columbia and Willamette.

reguarding ridgecrest...militay? also...you maybe in an area that is not very desirable (ridgecrest) but your also in the middle of all the top spots in california for flyfishing, trout fishing, rock climbing, dirt bike riding, hiking, camping, backpacking, peak bagging and more. if your interested in any of those, let me know and i can point you the way. everything i love is off the 14/395 between mojave and mammoth.
