anti theft advice
hey guys i need some advice:
When i go fishing i usually go park and then remove my thule glide and set from my roof rack to prevent theft. Do you guys think im being paranoid or has anybody gotten their attatchments stolen from their rack? i have locks on my rack but not on my "glide and set" kit. |

Try replacing your hardware with nyloc nuts if possible. Should make it difficult to steal.

If someone really really really really really wants them they'll take them, the best think you can do is hire a armed guard to watch your car while your fishing........or, you can do like John said and get some nyloc nuts which at the very least will deter the bad guys. However, like I said previously, if someone really really really really wants they'll find a way.

Where I am, the LAPD has been promoting..."Lock it. Hide it. Keep it."
I am paranoid -- out of sight, out of mind. I say keep doing what you're doing. But if they really, really want it, make them work for it. |

Not everyone is out to get you! But if you must, they make cables that when cut sound an alarm. If it makes you sleep at night.

Surfed LJ for years. Yup that stuff gets stolen too. Lock it down or lock it up.
