sat 8/22. LJ
6:30 launch it to warm water n tiny waves. Had one of the toughest times ever making bait. Some of the guys doing well were chumming or had small bait cages below thier sibikis. After an hour n a 1/2 of moving n working I had 2 Spanish and headed out to the 130-150 depth area with many others. birds. Current was flowing out to sea, not the best. Few to no birds around and I didn't see any hook ups. I got a text reminding me my daughter was invited to a friends birthday party, so I heading in. Yay forgetful dad. About a 100 yards outside the kelp in front of the condo I started seeing bait n a few birds. I hooked up and landed an 18 lb yt then hauled ass for the beach. Got a yellow n got my daughter to the party on time. That's what you call a win-win situation. Mike

Fulfilling responsibilities and catching fish, that's called pro status. Nice work Saturday was a very busy day in LJ.

Mike,
That's what I call damn lucky!!! I've never caught a fish on my way in. Sounds like a true win-win! |
