Tail Waggers
Paddled out today with a friend in beautiful conditions. Temp around 70-71. Scored a couple tails and headed in. First tail on my new yak. Can't tell the weight cause I can't find my scale but it measured 42 to the fork!
Just finished a tasty BBQ collar. Time for a Scotch and relax. Tight lines. |

It's been a blast out there!! I'll fish with you anytime...thanks for saving my ass pulling crap off my line and gaffing my first tail!
@geno: swell was not bad, you were with us for about 1/4 mile that day but then you broke away from the pack...did you ever get your tail? We figured you hooked up, gotta get you a radio so we can communicate on the water |

Collar
That BBQ collar is the best part of the fish in my opinion. That meat by the jaw is somewhere between bacon and king-crab! I serve it with a Ponzu sauce.

Tails Still Waggin!
It's been a great couple weeks, my body; wrists, elbows, shoulders and back, OK, everything hurts. See you tomorrow on the big lake.
P.S. Collars are super yummy, dipping sauce either ponzu or Soy, Lemon and sugar. Think I'll have another tonight. And tomorrow night too. A bit of smoke helps too. P.S.s. Your new clip is ready to use. |
