Bolsa Chica Basin MPA
I know that the Bolsa Chica Basin area, just south of Huntington Harbor is restricted to yakin and fishing. I had a question, however. If you ever go to the inlet to the MPA, you will see TWO bridges. The first one is the heavy bridge that cars can pass over, I think, but then there is a second bridge that only supports people walking over it.
The warning signs are posted on this SECOND bridge, so I assumed that it was ok to fish past the FIRST bridge but just not go past the SECOND one. Is this true? I'm asking because Benichi and I were fishing here the other day and one of the personnel from the preserve area (presumably) kind of scolded us and indicated that we couldn't even pass the first bridge. |

Nevermind guys... I apologize. If you zoom in on the DFG website it clearly shows that the 1st bigger bridge IS the boundary. I should've consulted it first. Good thing we didn't catch anything there haha.
