Here is my accompanying review. Copied from scsurffishing.com
Thursday morning I hit up a spot in Alamitos Bay at 5am with my friend Ben from BWE. Before we even launched he caught a sand bass, I think, right from shore hahaha. Anyway, it was still dark when we launched, but the water was glass smooth with hardly a breeze. I had to leave by 8 to get to work, so was able to fish for about 3 hours. In the 3 hours there, I think I managed about 6 or 7 sand bass and spotties. It was great to fish on my yak BEFORE going to work, but the drawback is getting up in the 4AM hour, whoa. I took a few pics as you can see below, but be sure to visit this link to see some video of our session. As usual, until I get my own camera, you will only see Ben catching, but it's really fun to watch! https://youtu.be/ePjV2fQ0I78 Then there was THIS sign LOL. Who touches the jelly fish? and do some of you yakkers paddle too loudly? Really? My splash is extra loud!!! |

we carried our yaks to the little beach next to the launch ramp on stadium marina launch ramp. i would not launch from there again in less they open the gate. people told us they would open the gate at 7 or 8am. I left at 1030 or 11am and the gate was still locked.
