I'm Taking My Talents to Bahia Asuncion
Hello all
I have told a few folks in the community but I just wanted to announce it officially here that I will be moving to Bahia Asuncion as of March 1st. I have visited the place a couple times and really enjoyed the area. Since I was there in late November a series of things just fell into place for me and was able to secure a long term lease on a home on the beach there. The home is a 2 bedroom 1300 sq ft home with garage room for 3 cars. The place is completely furnished with all imaginable appliances including an ice cream maker. If I was not bringing my yak and fishing stuff, I could literally throw a couple pair of shorts and a few tee shirts in a backpack and live better than I live here. I want to give anyone that is interested an open invite to come down to Bahia Asuncion and do some fishing with me. I will have an extra bedroom and plenty of floor space to crash on or if you prefer, the house is on a double lot with plenty of room to pitch tents while enjoying the comforts of a fully stocked kitchen and a nice shower at the end of the day. Accommodations will cost you nothing except maybe a tackle care package delivery. Here's a couple pictures: The lay of the land BA.jpg Zoomed in a bit BA6.jpg A few pictures of the house Bahia Asuncion House 110.JPG Bahia Asuncion House 116.JPG Bahia Asuncion House 024.JPG Bahia Asuncion House 117.JPG If you don't want to drag your yak down there, the house has 2 kayaks and a Hobie Adventure Island tandem in residence. I am very serious about inviting ya'all down there. I will have internet service and I will post up more information like my Mexican phone number etc. when I get settled in.

Wow living the dream!! Congratulations and can't wait to hear about your adventures down south. I will probably be calling you when I'm down in BOLA to visit and fish your waters.
Always shop at the Costco in TJ on the way down and will bring some "care" packages for you to drink if I make it down. |

Unreal, on a few levels. Congratulations! I am sure you will settle into the new lifestyle well. I have to say, an open invitation, I for one am blow away. I'd love to take you up on the offer. Man, you may have more company than you might expect, I'm still blown away by your generous hospitality.

Taking your talents elsewhere? Maybe you can try getting a gig as a comedian or as a writer for Jimmy Kimble. That was some pretty funny shit you had going with the Sewer brothers.
PM me if you want to hit LJ before you go.

That is awesome! Like others have said you're going to be living the dream! How long of a drive is it from San Diego? Google says about 12 hours.

On the Baja or Bust, Asuncion trips it takes 12-13 hours. We do it in two days, but it can be done in one. In Summer if you cross at TJ at 4 am you should get there before dark. It is a great area to fish. I hope to do Asuncion 3 this year as well as Abreojos 1. Both take the same time and are about 60 miles from each other but no road between them.
