I would buy the biggest one you can comfortably afford.

I rather go with lowprofile so it doesn't get in the way. But then again it depends on where you put it. Mine is in between my knees directly in front of me.
Anyone have these in stock to check out yet? Id like to check one out. From what I'm seeing, they're not available until next month.

I'm waiting to see how Lowrance and Hummingbird respond to the new competition from Raymarine.
Hopefully it pushes prices down and performance from all three players up. |

I'm loving my current Dragonfly 5.7", and am looking to upgrade to the new Dragonfly 5. Awesome fishfinders with CHIRP sonar, and easy to use out of the box. The older model had some issues with the door to the map chips (water could get in and corrode the inside), but the new models have redesigned all that, so am pretty excited about it!

It's been on back order for a while, still is. BPS had them for 299.. Same model. Guessing they are testing the waters price wise but so far appears to be a success at this price point.

I believe this unit was just officially released at a boat show this last weekend as far as I can tell by my conversation with the Marketing guys last week. May be hard to see one for a little bit.
As for size, the Lowrance 4" models are super popular. Smaller yes but at this price you will have a solid unit, but tons of guys have no issue with the smaller screens. |
