What Sunglasses Do You Prefer For Fishing?

I recently had a pair of Costa Fisch sunglasses that I noticed had some circular spots on them. I tried to clean them off but nope the coating was coming off on the glass lenses.

I sent them back to Costa and for 11.99 they are going to replace the same lenses and give me brand new frames under the warranty which is lifetime.

I have owned maui jims before and they are great also. The return charges are now 50 dollars. They use to be free under warranty. I think the lenses on the maui jim may be better but costa is pretty close.

I have also heard good things about Smith sunglasses but have never tried them.

Tons of sunglass brands out there. Costa seems to be a fishing sunglass specialty brand.

Which sunglasses do you like for fishing the best?

Smith Optics all the way. I have been wearing them for 5+ years now and love every set ive had.

I absolutely love the Smith Elite stuff as the lenses are Z87+ and do not scratch. light frames as well. Dig them- great for shooting sports or if you are hard on glasses like I am.

Chromapop models however are where it is really at for on the water. Zero glare- they are amazing glasses.

Been wearing smiths for some time now. Great warranty, and have replaced glasses that were over 5 years old. The tint level and the polarized lens are key to good vision on the water.

OEX carries some of the Smith brands but not actual Smith. They are pretty easy to find though especially in stores that do Snowsports.

Sunclouds are cheep, they work, and dosent hurt the pocket book if they end up the end up in the La Jolla surf.

I bought a pair of Suncloud Warrant sunglasses. Sports Chalet will match any offer online so I found them on amazon and they matched the price.

I bought them because they fit me so well. For a cheap pair of sunglasses they will do fine for a backup.

I wear Julbo's and really like them. Lightweight, comfortable, self adjusting tint, and a nice coating that helps repel water.
BONUS..... They won't break the bank.

I vote too for the Smith Optics but you can select different style and color of glasses. For strong dissension, you should read other review to select some of any Costa Fisch sunglasses that suit you..

I have an older pair of Maui Jim Guy Harvey Editions.

My problem is the need for prescription lenses, which really limits which frames I can have. I envy you guys that can go out and spend 12 bucks on sun glasses.
Zenni Optical is now carrying a line of sun glass frames, and I can choose any coating, color and polarization I want - so my next pair will be inexpensive ones from them. Will not be as well made as my Maui Jims, but I can afford to replace them every year for the $60 they cost.

I've loved every pair of Smith's I've owned, including their Chromapop's. Never owned Costa's, but have tried some friends pairs and was impressed. My style is more geared towards Smith so that's where my $$ has always gone.

The one thing I will offer as a suggestion, is to take into consideration the fact that your lenses are the last thing between your eyes and a treble hook. I can't tell you how many times I've set the hook on a ghost and thrown a crank bait/flipping weight/whatever towards my face at a thousand miles an hour.

I will never, EVER buy cheap sunglasses for that very specific reason...

Fuze lenses for almost any pair of glasses is the way I go now. way cheaper than buying a new pair and they also offer polarized I always go with....

I saw the Fuse website. What lenses have you used for which sunglasses? I saw a review where they used the Fuse on Oakley and they were much clearer than the original.
