PVC Kage Gaff DIY
Made myself a kage gaff today.
Instead of usual broomstick I use PVC pipe . I can flip over the steel shaft and thread into the PVC pipe when transport, that thing is dangerous. 1” PVC pipe with your preferred length. Some adapter, threaded coupling, end cap, and PVC solvent, stainless steel shaft , a stick of wood dowel , two part epoxy glue. ( see pictures included) A grinder to sharpen the steel shaft. A sharp knife to trim the wood dowel. A Power drill to fit the steel shaft into the wood dowel (glue the steel shaft to wood dowel with epoxy .) All purchased from Homedepo. Easy to do, ugly and deadly, few will want to steal it. The last picture has a piece of PVC pipe cover the sharp tip with some foam zip-tied . Danny Last edited by da22y; 10-02-2014 at 05:41 PM.
