New hurricane swell

Surfline says 4'-6' this weekend.
I was finally going to get back out to LJ, after several weeks away, but I may have to postpone my return.
Anyone going to give it a go?

Good luck to all of the participants tomorrow.
I'll be working.
At least it's on a deck, overlooking SD Bay.

There's a video around here showing how a PA flips on only a 6" wave. I'd be careful if I owned one.

It won't be as bad as the reports show. Remember this kind of storms brings high surf to Southern facing beaches. La Jolla shores launch is a protected area due to the point and the cliff area where the caves are. That does not mean that there won't be large swells once out in the fishing grounds. Large swells are no big deal unless you get sea sick. If the wind picks up then it can be rough due to all the white caps, but the wind is not suppose to be bad at all. Should be a great fishing day. Everyone don't let the reports keep you from coming down. Easy to check the surf before launching. Check the Web Cam on the above menu to see the current conditions. Some times the wave interval are close together and it makes it a wetter launch. Tight Lines Guys, see you out there tomorrow.

It's a very south swell coming in from 225- 166 degrees. It could be 30', and the launch won't see thing. (But if I had a PA, I wouldn't show...)

Kayakfisherman is just trying to reduce the numbers in the competition, to improve his odds of winning. If it was up to me, I would have included all Outbacks also!

No you won't be.
God can get you just as easily on your couch as he can while on your kayak in the upcoming hurricane.
Trust me, I know God, he told me.
