Yep really, revenue is down over at city hall this year, so for our safety and security they have to make the kayakers pay.
Paddleborders will probably not be effected.

Yep....It's been posted for at least a month. Oddly, whenever I would ask the booth attendants any sort of question regarding the rate hikes they were completely clueless............. but I'm sure that come August 1st they'll know exactly What I was talking about.

Not surprising, We have to pay the same $10 as every boater to hand launch at DP ramps.

With that 2 dollar rate hike, they should at least add a water spray area so we can wash our gear.

I can think of something better than a washdown area they could add for that kind of money....
They could get those paddleboard girls to - blow- dry our kayaks!

That is going to be expensive for a long session on the water.

I really hope they put a cap on it. Like $9. More than that just shows a lack of planning and foresight.

Max of $20. Each business has it's own validation situation, but most are only $1 for the first 2 hours ($3 savings)

The fishermen riding the boats are going to have a $hit fit if they have to pay a bunch for parking... especially considering MDR is FREE PARKING

Rossman, if I am correct the parking lot closest to the hand launch is private. Might be the reason, the attendants at the entrance don't have a clue about the fee.
Since it is after 8/1, has anyone paid this yet? |

I do know someone who paid the $2 per hour yesterday. I found that the attendants were quite forthcoming with information. The only thing they did not know is what the validation scheme was for each business. They seemed quite apologetic but as the sign says it was mandated by the City of Reydondo

I don't see why there is a big commotion with the new parking cost. I now just have to find a new place to look for sand dabs, since there's nothing else at Redondo to fish for

So after thinking about it, Cabrillo can cost you $15 for parking and no possibility for a validation.
It's just hard to get use to price increase from $4 I wonder if the weekend afternoon parking situation and crowded lagoon will be less? Or, have they been paying that much for parking all along?
