Launched at 0600 in knee high slappers for a little half day session. I have to say it wasn't my best launch but still made it out. Took about an hour to make the right kind of bait. Spanish were out in force and so were the dogs. Had one mac stolen, and so did my buddy. Anyways, caught and released a few small Bonito. Tossed irons into some small boils for nada. Saw one party boat, 5 or 6 private boats, and about 15 yaks. Water temp 75.2 for most of the morning. Landing was a bit sketchy and the pressure was on to not have a yard sale in front of the crowd at the launch. However, made it in nice and smooth around 11ish. On another note my new tranx 500hg and calstar performed flawlessly. Gonna give it another shot on Sunday.
Tight Lines everyone

Jealous of that tranx set up.

Good luck Sunday, see you on the water. I've been fishing la jolla for a couple weekends trying to get my first kayak YT, came close last week couldn't close the deal. Fishing greenies one low one high. Determined
