Ouch!

I cut my hand open last Saturday and tried to imagine had I done it in the yak! Woulda have been tough to paddle since when I closed my hand my finger butterflied open like a overdone hotdog... I wasn't using anypressur and a little slip and boom can see bone. On the water I have seen less careful knife handling practices from others...

I always carry a tube of super glue in my safety kit just in case.

I sliced my finger open cutting up bait at the bait barge for hoop netting.

The guy at the bait barge said "Do not touch the barge as it is covered with all sorts of nasty stuff" and said "You would get a serious infection". He was really cool and hooked me up with sterilized first aid on the spot.

Thanks for being helpful as they always are.
