Banana Theory...Busted

So I have to agree with Matt on his myth busters episode. Got up early to beat the crowds, on the water by 5:15am, first one out, what a great feeling with the calm launch, grey light and I can drive on the beach again, life is grand Only one other boat on the water till about 7, then more, more and so on. Never felt crowded till about 9 when the plastic army started to make its showing. Luckily, I was heading in by then. Last time I went out my peddle shaft snapped in half trying to do a peddle for Leo, this time I learned that bananas have no effect on me getting what I came out for, tight lines.
While consuming a banana, myth.......busted, 26lb

Nice one! I have seen many fish landed with bananas on board. It sure is awesome to load up on the sand again, and even better to do it before all the tourists arrive.

Not sure how you caught it, but I am hoping it was in the coffee grinder surface iron combo!

Nice catch, did you get it on the iron? I always bring bananas when fishing and sometimes it breaks that myth, but it's a great snack while fishing. How did your nice gaff feel in action?

Slight thread jack....Chuck won't mind.

I fished with a guide on the Rouge river last year.

First day.....fish jumping everywhere...all other boats hooked up...we got zero bites!

Second day....I'm munching on my trail mix...a little bored...no bites.....

The guide goes Fugging Ape Crazy all of a sudden! "Wtf are you doing?" I look at the trail mix (which I also had the previous day) and realize he is referring to the banana chips in the mix. He promptly dumps my snack in the river.

We limit out the boat in the next hour.

Funniest shit ever.

Nice banana tail Chuck!

You got to get up earlier than that to be the first one out! At 5:15 we were already soaking greenbacks near the corner!

Not that it mattered cuz I still got the goose-egg hahaha

Nice fish, saw several good sized models caught recently. Glad to know you can get your potassium and still have a shot.

Saw a ~12 ft white shark in 150ft depth yesterday... Anybody else spot that thing? Holy crap it scared me. Turned on my gopro just in case...
