New Reels, Should I get some new ones?
Well, just started going through amazon since I have some giftcards and needed a larger reel to target some big striper. Ended up getting a Penn Spinfisher V 4500LL. Then noticed that they had the 3500 for $113 and 4500 for $114.
Not a bad deal so I grabbed a normal 3500/4500 for the heck of it. Thought some people might like taking advantage of the good deal. http://goo.gl/5Rp8BZ Anyone suggest a reel for fishing SD? Mentioned in a post earlier that Im coming home and stationed in coronado. Will these reels do?

Those reels will be just fine. What are u looking to target
? What are u comfortable using? Spinning, or conventional. Lever drag or star drag?

Comfortable with both. Not sure what will suffice. Out here I target reds, specks, sharks, blues, flounder. Its usually 20ft or less out here so Im trying to see if I need some conventional reels. Definitely want to target all species out there. Rockfish, Halis, YT, Threshers. I dont limit myself to species. I try to be set up for a bit of everything.

For a low maintenance, good quality reel that will take the abuse of kayak fishing I like the Penn Fathom. Size 15 for bait fishing 20-30# and the 25N for yo yo fishing and 40# bait.
