Ok two xl setup

I got rid of my Hobie kayak awhile back, now I have a pair of Ocean Kayak Malibu two xl's so the whole family can have fun. I'm going to set one up for fishing, but was curious if anyone else has one setup and wanted to get some ideas. I currently installed a hatch two flush mount Scotty rod holders and a trolley system.

I have this kayak setup for fishing. I don't have pics of it fully rigged, but I will try to post it later. I have two scotty rocket launchers behind both seats, a fish finder and recently added a bait tank that rest behind the back seat. It's not the nicest looking setup, but it works for me.

what did use for a bait tank? Its awkward for a bait tank back there since its not flat and it curves.

Having the bait tank sit inside a milk crate provided support and a means to attach it to the kayak. My concern was that I would become top heavy once the bait tank filled up with water, but it did not affect the the stability of the kayak. The bait tank did not move at all when it filled up. I'm happy with this set up. I hope it helps.

There's no way having a tank that high won't affect stability.

Not true. You can always have it floating next to the kayak 😆.

Yes just had to chime in. But you are correct.
