battery charging question
I have not forked up the dough for a battery maintainer yet, so I need to watch how long I keep my battery on the charger. My charger is a one amp and my battery is a 12v 9ah. If my battery is at a full charge, and I run my fish finder for 4 straight hours should I charge for 5 hours with a 1 amp charger to bring the battery back to full charge? Normally I throw my battery on the charger right before bed and take it off when I wake up when I'm going to fish. But I'm concerned that over charging will damage my battery life in the long run

I've seen them for $7 at Harbor Freight.

Oh really? I was under the impression that they were like 40-50 bucks. I spent more then 7 on the cheap charger from auto zone. Thanks for the info
