scupper pro 14"

Not my boat but thought this would be a great starter yak for anyone looking to get into the sport. Thought I'd pass on the link

If in good condition it is a great boat and my first kayak. I loved it. It is more narrow than most of the current kayaks and not as stable but at 14' 9" it is a fast boat and in its day was one of the most popular kayaks for fishing.

I've always loved ocean kayaks secondary stability and speed. If I wasn't buying a kayak tomorrow I would honestly go pick this up right now as a loaner.

I had a 2 hatch scupper pro that was rigged for fishing (Flush mounts, tacklebox bungee, scotty mount, milk crate, anchor trolley), a newer seat than the one in that craigslist ad, AND a rudder, and I barely got $100 and a Seeker Blue Lightning rod out of it.

What the hell was I doing wrong?
