Plans for Saturday (February 8)?
Anyone heading out from La Jolla on Saturday?
My friend and I were planning to head out to the Kelp, but we're relative noobs. Any nice BWE'ers mind if we tag along? |

I wouldn't be going anywhere until my health issues gets better but how does the weather look? Could be the reason why no one is responding.

And it could just be me (also noob) but a lot of these can I tag along in LJ seems to get less/no invitations compared to other locations. After not finding anyone to go with most of last year I ended up hiring Josh to take me out. Glad I did, learned a lot.
But yea hopefuly in about a month I'll be able to join you out there.

Good luck, I considered going out to LJ as well this weekend, but wind, wave & swell conditions look speculative plus the beach launch is still closed....

Yeah, we're definitely keeping an eye on the wind forecasts too.
So-far it looks like it might be a little hairy in the morning, but the swell shouldn't be too bad after sunrise. If the launch is still closed, well, that's a different problem. Maybe we'll launch from somewhere else. |

I was one of those views.
My plans are iffy for Sat. otherwise I would have said sure you can tag along, but I'll warn you I'm no expert if we do go. swellwatch forecast looks good: http://forecasts.surfingmagazine.com...e_satellite_-1 and magicseaweed looks good too http://magicseaweed.com/Scripps-Pier...rf-Report/296/ (but I have heard some don't like this site due to its inaccurate reports). I'm not seeing any wind issues either. 10mph isn't ideal, but it is manageable. Good luck! |
