Paddles: Werner Tybee Hooked vs Aquabound Manta Ray Carbon
I'm looking at 2 paddles, the Werner Tybee hooked and Aqua bound manta ray carbon. I paddle a 34" wide malibu stealth and am 6'3" so figure I need at least a 240cm. Anyone using either of these paddles and can chime in on pros/cons? Also should I be bumping up to a 250cm? Budget is $200 and I've heard great things about werner so am leaning towards the tybee over the carbon aqua bound.

Had the manta ray in 250 and loved it, paddled a x factor, and in 6'2

Got mine from easyday, slightly used. Paddled both the stealth and the hobie outback, all I can say is I wish I had done it much earlier, Nice!!!!

Went ahead and pulled the trigger on a 250cm manta ray carbon. Think I made a good choice.

The Manta Carbon is a step up form the Tybee Hooked. The Manta Fiberglass would have been more comparable.
That Manta Carbon is a popular one for us, good choice. |
