That's a cool video. There are a couple that nest near the Coast Gaurd dock on the Sub base in the Big Bay. Watching them hunt in person is awesome!

I've seen that couple catch a halibut right by there. I'm still trying to figure out how the hell in the world they managed to pull that off.

Great video, awesome close ups. Can't believe they dive into the water, How cool to see it shacking the water off to dry while flying. Thanks for sharing.

What a great video! I was expecting more of "bird see fish, plucks fish from top of water, flies off with fish..." Boy was I wrong!
That was BAD-ASS! That bird that went for the halibut tucked his head into his body like a diver, right before hitting the water. And he went down and snatched that halibut! I think he just put the halibut on notice with that move!! |
