Topock Gorge Paddle with the family
I spent a long weekend with my family on the Colorado River. My brother bought a new boat and wanted to show it off to the family. One of the days I planned a drift down river with my wife, dad, and nephew.
It went well for the first few hours then the wind came up nasty. Since my brother was in the area with his boat he was able to pick up my wife and nephew as my father and I continued down river. With no wind we were traveling 4.6mph once the wind kicked up we were traveling between 0.8-1.5mph. It made for a long day, but one hell of a experience I will remember having with my dad. I didn't get much film but put together a short video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KD1EiTvWhr0 |
