vail 9-18
Went to vail Monday with the wife and dogs. Got to the lake around 9am pretty much had it to ourselves. Let the dogs run around for a bit while I unloaded the yaks. I tossed a few flukes on the south shore for nada. Had to let the dogs off for another swim (damn they love to swim). We headed over to a beach on the north shore to set up our day camp. Ended up staying there and fishing from shore till about 3. Got a dozen or so lmb on the fluke (hardly even trying). I could see packs of them cruzin, tight to the shore. All in all a nice day out. The wind was calm, the water about 85 and the air was 103 .

nice day...
Wow,
What a nice day. I have yet to take the kayak into some freshwater. So do they let the dogs run around leash free? Janine
