Trying to yak fish!
Hey all just introducing my self, salutations. I bought a new to me Ocean Kayak 15' prowler(see pic) about a month ago. I'm fishing with some buddies out of O'side in the harbor, and needless to say haven't hooked into a big one yet. We're using mostly chovies and frozen squid. Trying to catch own bait but that doesn't seem to pan out either.
We're going to try and make it down to La Jolla or the SD bay when we get a chance, but we're googans so those trips are bigens to us. Any advice on bait, or tips much appriciated. I'm reading a lot but the only way to really figure it out is to get out there and do it. Last thing, where in NC is a good place to pump ghost shrimp. I know I know, nobody want's to give up there spots. Take care and look forward to meeting some of you. |

Being down here in San diego, I can't help much with the pumping relative to your location. But do have a few spots down here to pump if you are interested and if you ever want to hit the bay down here, hit me up!

Be careful as this is a highly addictive activity.
I'm up to three times a week at the moment. |

Whoa Whoa Whoa, whats all this Fridays off talk about. Uncle Sam doesn't have those hours, I'm pretty limited to the weekends unless I take a day off. Which to go fishing is well worth the day off. I was a big fresh water kid about 15 years ago. A recent trip home and fishing trip with my brother and dad has rekindled my flame for fishing, the simple things in life. That plus some of the guys at work yak fishing and I'm out on the water. Thanks for the invites and the info about the shrimp. I've got a buddy that should be getting on the sight and we'll definitely take you guys up on some hookin up for trips.
Cheers Danny D |

My phone just alerted me that Cbad Mike just quoted me. She asked, "What's that?". I told her it was a notification from the Tapatalk app. I had corrected Mike and she went off on how that is so annoying and rude when I do that. I let her know that Cbad Mike would appreciate the correction and welcome it. I further explained that guys are ok if you correct their movie quotes, just as long as you give the the correct quote. "All guys are like this", I said. "And how do you know this?", she asked. So, I told her, "I know this, because Tyler knows this."
