NorCal Kokanee
Hey Guys. I wanted to share a report form Norcal. I met up with some local guys here in Redding and hit Whiskeytown Lake to try and zero in on some Kokanee. Ive caught them before here but never targeted them specifically. So me and 2 other guys launched at 6am and got our troll on. We Fished hard for most of the day. I landed 2 Kokes and missed 6. Kokes are notorious for shaking hooks and soft mouths. The other two guys each landed 4. It was a pretty good day, set out with a goal of landing Kokanee and met the goal.

Nice!
My goal was to hit Whiskeytown on my way out of Lake Shasta last month, but when I got there the wind was blowing like a hurricane and not even the power boats were on the water. I was bummed that I had to abandon, but I will return some day. That lake is absolutely beautiful and I really want to fish it. Shasta on the other hand may never see me again... |
