Newport
This is my first report.
Fished outside Newport wedge along the kelp beds caught 3 calicos and 1 lizard fish. Then tried the harbor and got a halibut. calico and hali was about legal size. all fish released. oh and I saw a purple jellyfish outside the harbor. picture doesn't do it justice it was really purple. sorry no photo of calico and hali I'm sure everyones see one haha. oh bait used was anchovies. |

I saw that out there on Friday. Along with a huge Sun Fish that scared the crap out of me at 1st glance of a huge fin out of the water.

I saw that Jelly thing too! Also saw a Mako,(at least we think it was based on our research when we got home) came cruising right up to my roommates yak and he flipped out lol then we saw him again about 15~20 mins later and the dorsal just disappeared underwater about 30yds from us. Wild!

yeah heard people say they spotted sunfish. hope to see one soon. for the make ill pass haha
