New guy soon to hit the water
Hey all, new guy here....
I just purchased a x-factor from OEX and hoping I can meet up with some of you guys for an intro to kayak fishing. I've been looking for a loooong time and finally pulled the trigger. Oex is setting everything up for me so hopefully I'll be hitting the bay ( not ready for the open water) soon. Still purchasing a few items that I need but I'll get there. Just picked a few reels and sticks for the bay. All I had is big stuff for the big water so I figured I'd pick up some lighter stuff. I've been filling the forums for sometime and trying to pickup as much as I can. Well, that's my intro so hopefully a few of you guys will bite so I'm not trying to figure it out on my own. I see a lot of you guys have been willing to meet up to teach us new guys..... Thanks in advance for anyone willing to help. |

newport harbor (newport) and alamitos bay (long beach) are two decent bays to try out fishing. both have lots of spotted bay bass. open water fishing is not scary as long as you keep an eye out on the swells, wakes, and dont go out on a windy day.

Thanks guys.... As soon as I get my ride I'm definitely hitting the bays. I'll keep you guys posted and hopefully get a chance to meet yoy guys.
And I've heard and seen on here that both of those places are pretty good spots. |

People including myself are always looking for someone to fish with.... Post of who's going where pops up near the end of the week if the weather looks good.
