Dana Pt. June-2
Launched at around 6am, grabbed some dines from the bait man and headed out in search of flatties. Was working around some kelp and get a heavy bite. As it comes up I look over side expecting to see a brown floormat, instead I see a checker board. I'm guess she was 5+ lbs. it was the biggest calico I've caught from the yak. either way we took a quick pic together and over the side she went. Caught 3 more calico in the 12-14 inch range and then I headed back in as it was getting kinda nasty out with lots of chop on the water and the wind was building. Fished the bay for a hour and got another solid bite that turned out to be spottie. I was loaded up by 1045 and headed home. Nice day on the water overall. Until next time halibut...
