OB Yellowtail
Has anyone caught yellowtail off of OB? I have heard a lot out of la jolla, but not much out of OB. Thanks.

there's a few yakers that launch out of mission bay and target yellows with consistency.

There are YT there, but many don't like to paddle through mission bay. I for one like it more than La Jolla. Less people on the water in the OB area.

the dog beach is your best bet. launch in the river part and it will shoot you right into the surf (very small) and out past the jetty. saw a dog do it, a yak shouldn't be to hard.

Awesome! I will probably launch out of mission bay and hit the bait barge. I might go this weekend. Is there a time of day or tidal sequence that the yt are more likely to bite? Thanks!

Sounds like a good alternative to LJ. Interested to see how you do.
