Looking for an outboard fuel tank
I recently got a johnson 8hp outboard for free on craigslist and I need a fuel tank for it. I would preferably like to borrow one but I will buy one. The guy said he could not get it started but I sprayed some starter fluid in it and messed around with it for a while and got it going. Now I would like to get it tuned and the carb adjusted so I can either sell it or get a little dinghy. Just seeing if anyone in the south oc area has one they are not using at the moment. Let me know and I will come pick it up.
Thanks guys.

I have two used ones sitting in my shop in Irvine. They're OMC Accumix cans. The type you put fuel in one area and the oil in another. I wouldn't recommend it unless your outboard is of the 100/1 ratio type. Not sure if the connection is the same for your application and they still have some very old fuel in them. If you want them they're yours. Send me a P.M.
P.S. I work in Irvine and live in Torrance. In case that helps. |
