3/30 LJ
Launched at 5:30am went out to about 80 ft yoyoed the b/w 6x salas. jigged it off the bottom, moved all around tried out different depths. no luck on the right kind but did manage a toad 21" sandbass ( incidental catch since I was trying to target YT) At about 10am I switched over to cut squid for some rockfish. Lots of small rockfish. Changed over to a 6x scrambled egg, no luck on it either. Only saw 3 other kayakers, didn't see anyone catch anything significant. The conditions were awesome with a very light wind and just a little current going south. patches of bait popping later in the am, I wrapped it up at 1pm.

I was out there today too, I missed ya' John.
Super calm, beautiful day. I couldn't catch bait at the pier under the lights to save my life... Spanish were easy in the kelp. Water was greenish, temp bouncing around 60... visibility no more than 10ft. Hardly any current... We really need the river to start flowing to steer the things up. There's always tomorrow...
