If there really is a club being formed (informal or otherwise) I'd sure like to participate - assuming this wasn't part of the April 1st festivities...

Last Sunday in April, SD Bay - check....

I'll be there - fly rod in hand! Just tied a bunch of these rattle flys that should work great on the spotties...

Cross over the Coronado bridge staying in the right lane. 1st right after passing the old toll booths, right at 1st stop sign. Follow road into parking lot. Park in corner by skate park. You can see it as you cross the bridge.

Bring your appetite - just put a 6.5 lb pork shoulder in Here Piggy Piggy brine, where it will remain until thursday night when I dry it off and dry rub it for a Friday night smoke. Sometime Saturday afternoon I'll pull it and make slaw to go with it. Bring your beverage of choice...

Alright - just about ready! Pork shoulder just came off the smoker - 14 1/2 hours smoked with pitmasters choice (Hickory / cherry / maple) and the new rub recipe. Wrapped up in towels and "resting" for several hours before I pull it. Finishing sauce, custom BBQ sauce made and the coleslaw is in the fridge doing it's thing. See you all tomorrow!
