Topock River / North Dike Marsh
I have been inspired to share my river trip. Stayed at Golden Shores from 3-18 to 3-24 and fished the River and Marsh. Good weather, and some spawning small mouth proved to be the ticket on the river. One night I headed out to the North Dike and fished the Topock Marsh. This is a cool place to fish in the area without fighting too much current and this large body of water also holds many a LMB. I didn't get any monsters but it was non stop action near sun down.

Thanks for the post. Were there any skeeters out and around?? I've been to Alaska, Nor Cal, and Nor Carolina and the meanest skeeters I have even experienced were at the lower colorado. Stabbing through levis and sweatshirts. Mike

The marsh was deadly right around dark with skeeters, the rest of the time was skeeter free.
