LJ 3/3
Launched early and went to the pier...turned out to be a waste of time. One little spanish was it. Found big schools of sardines further out but nothing that would bite the sabiki. Hit up the bad lamb bait barge. One sardine bit and half and a rockfish was my excitement for the day. Dead calm most of the morning. Wind finally turned on at 1:00pm. Like a switch was thrown. I was chatting on the phone and within 15min it went from calm to "I got go" and paddle in against whitecaps.

Thanks for the heads-up on the wind... As I was going out, the wind didn't seem too bad. Then it picks shortly after, then dies for quite a while. Around 4pm, it a blazing headwind all the way to the launch.. what shoulda been 15 min turned into 30-40 min in the ol' FnD. Nothin but a liz fish for me..

Let's hope this wind settles. Blew off this morning (no pun intended) due to the steady offshore.

Plenty of people out yesterday, nothing but a sculpin for me. Even the boneys that kept popping up in piles did not seem to be biting for anyone. The threat of wind had me worried about a long paddle in with my Saturday work schedule, glad the weatherman got the AM portion wrong.
