Dana Point 12-16-12
Noticed there was gonna be a pretty big tidal swing and had the thumbs up from the wife so headed up to dana point. It was cool, windy, and sprinkling rain on and off but thought the halibut might not mind. Wrong. Drifted all over the hard bottom around the buoy for two sand bass. Both on livies. Off the water in about 4 hours and swung by Dana Point Jet Ski to pick up some turbo fins. The guys there are the best. Guess that concludes the 2012 season for me.

end is here?
15 days or so left. Plenty of time to squeeze every last dime out of that fishing license.
Don't quit now, those halibut are laughing at you (and me). |

Better than having the flu like me . Thanks DanaPt for the reminder on the license. I'd completely spaced on getting a new one.
