La Jolla 11/29

Went out to LaJolla yesterday. Had a late start, 0830. It was windy, huge swells, and pretty dead overall. Caught some bait, surf perch on the sabiki, lizard fish, and couldn't even find rockfish with dead squid. I was the only one out there. Now I know why.

roger that

thanks for timely report. went out the day before . i was fortunate of having to put a bend in rod. i think i saw maybe 3 other kayak fisherman. overall it has been a good year for me, because i put some time on the water. had some days where i just could not put the nail in coffin , and had the chance . the one day i scored , i think i took home 80 lbs of exotics ( one halibut , and one seabass ) . made up for all the depressing days , i was skunked . remarkably the one fish that has eluded me thus far is the yellow. i am very optimistic for the new year . heck , we still have a few more weeks left , to try and take a home guard . happy holidays everyone .
