Marina Del Rey/Santa Monica
Does anyone kayak fish in the Marina Del Rey/Venice/Santa monica area? I go out on the new del mar and spitfire quite a bit out of MDR, sometimes we catch great fish not to far from the marina at all. I also fish the venice pier at least once a week. Just look for the youngest, whitest dude out there and its me! ha. I'm looking to get a beginner kayak set up and im greatly interested if anyone has any luck up here. I live in the DTLA area so obviously this is the most convient area for me.
Hope to hear from you all soon! thanks, Connor |

Lots of good places inside and outside the harbor there. Most outside are going to require GPS and a fishfinder to locate. Start by fishing around the docks and bait barges until you feel comfortable enough to try more.
