made me a gaff

Weaved this one up to replace the one I lost a few weeks ago. Hope I don't fumble this one into the drink this time.

Nice work! You've got some skrill! add a key chain floater to the hand strap part and it won't go too far down the drink.(thinking out loud)

Very nice basket weave handle! They take for ever, I did a jig stick not to long ago with one and it probably took me close to 4 hours to weave.
Be sure to spray some spar urethane on the cord to seal it!

Really nice gaff and the in-process pics explain it well. Fishinkid, those are nice rod pictures too. I have wrapped about 20 rods and done a few weaves (Raider Logo, Dodger Logo, and names). I have never done a cord wrap (seems easy enough) or a turks head. How is the turks head started and ended (any pictures?)
